Miriam Hechler serves as the Chief Executive Officer / President of Roadside Protect, Inc. since February 2025, responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the business.

Miriam began her career at DaimlerChrysler in the Information Technology area from 1998 to 2001, before getting some US experience with Lufthansa Cargo in 2002. She joined the Bosch Group in 2003 and has since held various leadership roles in Product Management, Key Account Management, Marketing, Strategy and M&A.

Apart from her role as CEO of Roadside Protect, Inc., Miriam holds the global responsibility for the Product Area of Roadside Services within Bosch Service Solutions, the holding company of Roadside Protect, Inc. She`s also on the Board of Directors of Sfara Inc., a software company enabling  smartphone-based crash detection.

Miriam holds various degrees in Business and Economics from the Universities of Reutlingen (Germany), Dublin (Ireland) and Barcelona (Spain).

Valeria Lenti joined Roadside Protect, Inc. in May of 2025 as CFO / Commercial Responsible, where she supports Roadside Management to achieve financial targets while monitoring and managing accounting, Month/Year end closing, internal reporting, service profitability as well as the integration of the company into Bosch.

Valeria has held several roles since starting her journey with Bosch in 2010 as Commercial responsible for Bosch Service Solutions in Spain, supporting management to meet annual financial targets. In 2015, she additionally took over the commercial responsibility of Bosch Service Solutions in Portugal. Assuming a new challenge in 2019, Valeria moved to the Headquarters of Bosch Service Solutions in Frankfurt/Germany and led a team to establish, implement, maintain, and update the divisional global reporting standards across all countries, ensuring consistency and reliability in financial and non-financial data provided to management.

Valeria was awarded with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Administration by Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina, and a postgraduate in finance within the same institution.

Roberto Hernandez joined Roadside Protect in April of 2025 and serves as CTO, responsible for establishing and driving the organization’s technology strategy, overseeing the development and implementation of technological solutions, and ensuring that technology initiatives align with business goals.

Roberto’s career began in Uruguay, where he worked with digital signals & systems, as well as mobile telephony network design & optimization. Roberto joined the Bosch group in 2003, and has since held various roles leading the Information Systems department, including being responsible for all IT aspects of the expansion of Bosch Service Solutions in Spain, Portugal, and the Americas.

Roberto has led the integration of the IT organization for Bosch worldwide, responsible for the global harmonization of Contact Center platform, deployment of the work from home environment globally, and overseeing the establishment of Conversational AI in Contact Center Services.

Roberto holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin, Germany, as well as a Telecommunications Engineer degree from the Universidad ORT in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Vince Sommer, CRO Roadside Protect, Inc., Leader of Sales and Business Development. In this role, Vince is responsible for new client acquisitions as well as providing insights and guidance to business plans and service offerings.

Vince joined Roadside Protect in 2016 and has led many aspects of the business, including Business Development, Client Relations, Service Networks, IT and Operations.

Prior to Roadside Protect, Vince held leadership positions at Allstate Roadside, Sears Automotive, Wheels Fleet Leasing, and owned/operated a Mobile Tire installer business.

Vince earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Northern Illinois University.

Johnny Hopper has been with Roadside Protect since 2019. In his role as Sales and Key Account Manager, Johnny focuses on building and maintaining client relationships, driving customer satisfaction and positive performance through close collaboration with clients, internal teams, and key stakeholders.

Before joining Roadside Protect, Johnny began his career in marketing, managing the production of radio advertising content for multiple companies across central Illinois. He later transitioned into the Business Process Outsourcing industry, where he gained extensive experience leading Training, Operations, and Customer Support initiatives in diverse sectors, including emergency services, healthcare, tourism, retail and automotive.

Since joining Roadside Protect, Johnny has played a key role in shaping several departments. He has led teams in structuring operations, developing a comprehensive training program, and establishing standards for quality assurance and recruitment.  

Johnny attended Lake Land College in central Illinois.

Bertha Benitez joined Roadside Protect in 2019 and leads our Sales Customer Support team as Client Relations Manager. She focuses on making sure clients have a smooth, reliable experience with our programs and values clear communication and consistent service.

Before joining Roadside Protect, Bertha managed district operations for a national pizza franchise in the Chicago suburbs. In that role, she oversaw several busy locations, streamlined day-to-day operations, and helped improve overall performance – building a strong foundation in team leadership and service delivery.

Since coming on board at Roadside Protect, Bertha has worked in a variety of roles that give her a well-rounded view of the customer support experience. She started by taking calls on the front lines and eventually went on to lead our call center Operations team. Her hands-on experience helps her support both our internal teams and our clients with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Matthew Gibson is the Director of Product and Partner Management and has been with the company since August of 2022.

In this role Matthew combines market insight, customer understanding and technical expertise to deliver innovative and efficient solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business success. He is also responsible for building, managing and optimizing the network of service providers that deliver roadside assistance to customers and drivers. This involves recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management of these providers, as well as negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality and efficiency.

Before moving to Roadside Protect, Matthew held leadership roles with Allstate Insurance Company and General Electric Distribution Finance. With Allstate he led new product development for the roadside assistance division. Prior to joining Allstate, he oversaw productivity and process excellence for General Electric’s business support division.

Matthew earned an MBA from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Eastern Illinois University.

Randy Stern has been with Roadside Protect since July 2021. In his current role as Director of Operational Excellence, he is responsible for the development and implementation of automation, processes, tools, and Quality Management certification. He also supports the operations and financial teams by providing data and analytics.

With over 27 years of experience in Customer Care, Randy has held various customer-facing, operational, and support roles at companies such as AT&T, Allstate Roadside Services, Agero Roadside, Kemper Insurance, Cinch Home Services, and Roadside Protect. He brings over 12 years of specialized experience in Roadside, having led teams across Workforce Management, The Customer First Team, Client Relations, Contact Center Management, Training, Quality, FP&A Forecasting, and the Voice of the Customer.

Randy earned his associate’s degree in Business Administration and bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Programming from American Intercontinental University.
